Although originally born in Canada, Dr. Joseph Wilson considers himself a Chicagoland native as he was raised in Naperville, IL from a young age. He earned his undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL and obtained his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, IL in 2017. Dr. Wilson then completed his podiatric medicine and surgical residency training at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he was notably chief resident during his final year. He is a skilled foot and ankle surgeon and has extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle care with sub-specialty interests in trauma, sports medicine and complex foot and ankle reconstruction.
Dr. Wilson was first introduced to this specialty from his mother at a young age and thus treats all his patients with the same amount of love, respect and innovative compassionate care as he would his family. He enjoys traveling, staying active and is very involved in his church and loves giving back to the community whenever possible.
