Dr. Tikiwala’s extensive clinical and surgical training at a level 1 trauma center gave her the opportunity to learn about a diverse range of lower extremity pathologies, such as trauma, sport-related injuries, pediatric foot conditions, wound care, and diabetic limb salvage. She has a passion for the field and believes that it is very important to give her patients time and compassion to understand their background and opinions to build a trusting doctor-patient relationship. She treats her patients as if they are her family and focuses on making sure they know they are her top priority.
Dr. Tikiwala recently got married and now lives in Chicago with her husband. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, and Hindi. In her free time, she enjoys trying out a new restaurant, traveling to a new city, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is also trained in Indian classical and folk dance styles and enjoys choreographing when she gets the chance.
Her goal has always been to return to the Chicagoland area to practice podiatry. She wants to give back to the community that has always given her a sense of home. She is eager to put her training into practice. She has a sincere belief that with a strong work ethic and compassion for others, one can positively contribute to providing healthcare to those in need.
